Know Lake County: Melissa Fulton, Lake County Chamber of Commerce

LAKEPORT—Melissa Fulton CEO of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce will ask the question “Lake County-Are We Ready Yet?” and she will explain the work of the Chamber of Commerce at the August Know Lake County program. The free program will be held at the Lakeport branch of the Lake County Library at 1425 N. High Street on Aug. 19 at 2:00 p.m.

The Chamber’s vision statement declares that the Chamber actively endeavors to bring about a stronger economy and an improved quality of life to Lake County through working for new small business programs, representing business interests at all levels of government, promoting tourism and recruiting new business and industry to the area.

Fulton moved to Lake County with her late husband John in 1989 and quickly became involved in the county’s civic life. By 1990 she was CEO of the Chamber of Commerce. Her varied career includes 15 years at Raytheon in southern California and several years at the Lake County Record-Bee and Clear Lake Observer-American. She has a passion for promoting Lake County and working for its benefit.

            The Know Lake County lectures feature speakers from a wide array of organizations and disciplines, each representing some aspect of Lake County.
