One of the City's priorities is to create and support entrepreneurs and accelerate small business formation. The Lake County Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Mendo-Lake SBDC, has an office in City Hall, and provides free advising and lending services for business owners in and around the City of Lakeport.
USDA - Rural Business/Agricultural Producers - they have information and other helpful Grant and Loan Program information.
SBA - Has a resource guide and additional information for small businesses.
California Human Development - Provides Employment Training Centers for low income individuals. They also have a Farmworker Jobs Program as well as other assistance programs.
