Now Recruiting Measure Z Advisory Committee

     On November 8, 2016, Lakeport residents voted to approve Measure Z adopting an ordinance enacting a 1 percent increase to the local sales and use tax.  The ordinance calls for an independent citizens’ advisory committee to meet publicly to review all revenues and expenditures of the transactions and use tax and make recommendations to the City Council regarding those expenditures.

     The City of Lakeport is accepting applications for five (5) members of the Measure Z Advisory Committee to be appointed to terms of not more than 4 years by the City Council Qualified applicants must be residents of the City of Lakeport.

     The Committee will meet quarterly beginning in April of 2017 in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 225 Park Street, Lakeport.  Meetings will take place during business hours.
